Young Adult Short-Term Mission Trip | Disaster Relief
- Location: Kerrville, Texas
- Dates: May 17–22
- Cost: $300
- Ages: 18–30 (ish)
This trip is an invitation to step out of the routine and spend time in service. We’ll partner with Just Help One, Oak Hills Church’s disaster relief partner, to continue rebuilding homes in the Kerrville area following the catastrophic flooding on July 4, 2025.
What You’ll Be Doing
The work is hands-on, practical, and meaningful. You don’t need experience. You just need to show up willing. It’s a chance to work hard, live simply, and be present with people who are still recovering long after the news cycle moved on.
- Rebuilding and repairing homes alongside Just Help One
- Construction support such as painting, sheetrocking, and general repairs
- Serving in roles suited to all skill levels
- Working as a team with humility, flexibility, and consistency
If you’ve never done construction, that’s fine. If you have, great. Either way, your presence matters.
Where We’ll Stay
- The team will stay together at a campsite in Kerrville for the week.
- Dorm-style lodging with separate spaces for men and women
- Shared meals, downtime, and team connection
- Early mornings, full days of work, evenings to rest and reset
- Expect simple accommodations and strong community. This trip is designed to pull you out of comfort and into shared purpose.
